It takes place in a fictionalized coastal village based heavily on Fellini's childhood hometown of Rimini along the Adriatic coast. Although set in Rimini, it was filmed primarily on Stage 5 at the iconic Cinecittà Studios in Rome.The Plot: Rather than following a conventional, linear plot line, the movie unfolds as a series of episodic, carnivalesque vignettes tracking one full year in the life of an adolescent boy named Titta and his eccentric neighbors.
