Poster was received already linen backed with water damage in lower left corner. The moisture had caused mold to form at the bottom of the poster.

Procedures

Poster was demounted from previous linen backing and washed with Orvus and water, and then mounted to canvas and masa with water soluble adhesive. Missing paper was added and restoration was performed using airbrush, watercolor, and colored pencil. Poster was imprinted via silkscreen with split fountain red and black ink in bottom left margin with Poster Mountain fingerprint-logo.

Conclusion

Project completed on February 16, 2012.
