Glad to take the advice of the experts over my own! I'll drop by on Saturday. Thanks as always
Hi John,
We elected not to bleach this because this treatment is very hard on the paper, and likey would not have yielded the result we'e looking for. And painting it wouldn't be right either. Be aware too that the photo makes it look yellower than it looks in person. I honestly think we should leave this one 'as-is'.
I think we got rid of the cigarette smell though!! :)
She's ready for you to pick up!
Hi John and Poster Mountain crew,
I'm a bit torn on this one because I don't like extensive restoration, I like things looking their age, yet when I look at the poster, it looks yellowed from lots of cigarette smoke. Therefore my question is can it be lightened without making it look like a brand new poster? Are there gradations of lightening?
The pinholes don't bother me, neither do the fold lines or little pieces missing in the upper right hand corner.
Thanks!
